Building a career in dermatology is challenging! You need tools and resources to help make sense of it all.

This course will help you do just that! Designed for young physicians and residents trying to develop their career path. This one-day educational course delivers practical information and the tips and tools needed to successfully launch a career in dermatology. Plus, make meaningful connections with local colleagues!

    Learning objectives

    • Apply principles of coding to real-world dermatology practice to maximize efficiency through use of different techniques and Academy supported resources.

    • Identify options available for personal financial management and business investments.

    • Analyze financial and other factors related to employment in various practice models to help choose the path that is right for you. (Academic, private, group, solo).

    • Use social media platforms to engage the public for practice promotion and personal branding.

    • Recognize effective, timely, and individualized approaches to avoid physician burnout and improve wellness.

    Target audience

    Designed for residents in the last year of training, as well as recent residency graduates within the last five years.

    CME accreditation

    The American Academy of Dermatology is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

    Registration cancellations must be received via email to the AAD registration office at by Sept. 13, 2019. A $25 processing fee will apply for all cancellations. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after this date and time.
